Cookridge Hospital, Leeds

This may have been our first real explore outside of our comfort zone. As newbies 2 years ago, we were taken along by someone who'd been in the game longer. 'Suggs' assured us of easy access but when we got there it was sealed. So we're stood around like spare parts on the edge of a housing estate, dressed in black with backpacks on, scratching our heads. In the interests of staying dry on a horrendous morning we trekked through the trees and round the perimeter until we found a fence down. This place gave me the creeps! It was pitch black as it was boarded up and the shuttering was rattling and banging in the early Sunday morning gales. The sky was dark grey when we went in and the rain was coming down but the shelter offered no comfort to an over-active mind. The corridors were long and dark and it was single file shuffling and I always seemed to be at the back.....
